National Association Of Nigerian Professional Footballers Writes NPF Over Kidnapped NPFL Players, Demand Swift Resolution Of The Matter

The National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF) led by Tijani Babangida, MON, has officially written a letter of complaint to the Ondo State Commissioner of Police regarding the kidnapping of Enyimba player Dayo Ojo and Iluyomade Benjamin of the Abia Comets, on Sunday, March 22, along Ajangbale, Ifon road, on their way to Akure, Ondo State.

This was made public by the General Secretary of NANPF, Comrade Austin Popo.

The Ondo State chapter Chairman of NANPF and captain of the Sunshine Stars football club, Abe Sunday, made the official report of the kidnapping to the Ondo State Police on behalf of the players’ union.

Both players had previously dressed for the Sunshine Stars.

The letter demanded that the police step quickly into the matter and help rescue the kidnapped footballers.

Abe Sunday will continue to liaise with the police in their efforts to rescue the footballers.
