AC Milan have had a bid rejected by Brighton for left-back Pervis Estupinan but the two clubs remain in talks.
There is a gap in valuation for the player although the Serie A side are hopeful of reaching an agreement over the fee.
AC Milan are pushing for a deal as they need a replacement for Theo Hernandez who has joined Saudi club Al Hilal.
It's understood Estupinan is keen on a move to Milan.
