Mike Tyson To Be Ranked Alongside Wilder By The World Boxing Council

At the age of 53, Mike Tyson is said to be bracing up to return back to fighting again after it was announced he has started training. However, the World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman has revealed that the Likes of Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder would be rated by the organization. Sulaiman has promised a favourable outcaome to Tyson if he ask for the WBC for positioning.

Sulaiman however would not relent to listen to any request by Mike Tyson as he branded him to be the Baddest man on the planet that is looking to compete in the exhibition.

Sulaiman told Stats Perform that: “He could knock out anyone with one punch at any time so, of course, we will support him. Mike Tyson “I don’t like to speculate. This is a topic we are all entertained by. An exhibition is one thing; if he comes back he has to be licensed and has to go through a thorough process. “I’m not going to kill the dream. I’m going to be very supportive of Mike Tyson. He deserves it. If the dream is to say ‘I will be ranked,’ I am saying yes, we will rank him. “Every world champion has a provision that he can come back, like Sugar Ray Leonard, who was inactive.

He also hinted that Mike Tyson’s case is quite different to others as he has been away for a long time,  Sulaiman said: “But I am in full support of Mike Tyson. I believe this will bring entertainment and he’s doing it for charity. He wants to serve the world at this difficult moment.

Meanwhile, former green and gold belt holder Wilder has been rated number one. If a question on who should be atop between the two? Tyson is likely to be placed inside Top 15 due to the voluntary positions as the WBN are expected to release their WBC Top 40 heavyweights for May 2020.

Mike Tyson however holds a previous record of being the youngest heavyweight title-holder of all time and a one-time undisputed king. Therefore, putting Mike Tyson anywhere but alongside the top contenders seems pointless.
