The King Of Clay Court, Novak Djokovic Career So Far

Novak Djokovic's start to the season was once again number one. The Serbian tennis player left the ATP Cup against Germany only due to a defeat in doubles while in singles he never lost.

Also at the Australian Open the limelight went to the Serbian champion who won his 18th Grand Slam by winning in the final against the Russian Daniil Medvedev with a sharp 3 to 0.

It was a particular tournament where Djokovic, due to an abdominal tear, was one step away from the brink and elimination with American tennis player Taylor Fritz.

The physical condition of the Serbian held his breath for several days but Djokovic held out until the end and thus won the Australian title.

Currently Novak Djokovic is not at the Miami Open, a tournament he preferred to skip to spend time with his family. Meanwhile, Sania Mirza believes Roger Federer is the greatest player of all time because his talent level is higher than that of anyone.

According to Mirza, even if Rafael Nadal crosses Roger Federer's record Slam tally, the Swiss would remain ahead because of the ease with which he plays.

Mirza on Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

Sania Mirza said as quoted by Sports Central: "He (Rafael Nadal) is definitely the greatest of all time on clay, there's no doubt about that, but I don't know if he's the greatest of all time in terms of just pure talent. "I think Roger Federer still takes that. I think anyone that knows even a little bit of tennis knows that. I don't know if you agree with me or not, but when you watch Roger play tennis (it) comes a lot easier to you than it comes from most people in the world.

Mirza then praised the Swiss Maestro's effortless playing style and joked that he probably doesn't understand why the other players practice so much. "I always joke saying he must be thinking, 'A bunch of fools who practice for 5 hours a day'

He must be thinking, 'Oh my god! It's so easy I don't know why they're practicing'," Mirza contiued. "So I personally feel that Roger Federer is the greatest ever tennis player, regardless of the numbers, because I think talent wise he is still the best."

The tennis world has been entertained by the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic for years. These three legends have carried the burden of the sport for over a decade. Besides the big three, even British tennis star Andy Murray has contributed towards the sport to a great extent.

At the moment, the Miami Open 2021 is underway and the absence of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic has given a chance for the younger players to grab the opportunity to win big at the tournament.
