Lampard Confirms Blues Duo Christian Pulisic And Cesar Azpilicueta Ruled Out Ahead Of Their Clash With Bayern Munich

Following Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Arsenal, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard believes Pedro may have played his last game for the club after it’s suspected his shoulder had slipped. Chelsea face Bayern Munich in the round of 16 next Saturday and are 3-0 behind on aggregate.

Frank Lampard has excluded Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta from the Champions League game against Bayern Munich after both sustaining hamstring injuries in the FA Cup final.

Azpilicueta and Pulisic came out in both halves in the 1-2 loss to Arsenal at Wembley, while Pedro was also forced out after sustaining a shoulder injury late.

Chelsea will face Bayern in Munich on Saturday 8 August after losing 3-0 in the first leg of the round of 16 and will be without Azpilicueta, who came out 10 minutes before the break shortly after Pierre-Emerick's penalty  and Pulisic, who left the field shortly after the start of second half holding his Achilles.

Pedro, in his last domestic game for Chelsea before moving to Serie A Roma appeared to have shrugged in the final stage of the game as late equalizer hopes dwindled.

As cited by Sports Central, Lampard said: "I don't know the full extent of the injuries, but I know the hamstrings with Azpi and Christian - they have to be scanned and assessed over the next few days. They clearly won't be fit for next week. "Pedro, I believe it could be a dislocated shoulder but don't go too soon on that. "I've not seen him yet as he was whisked away so it's a disappointing end as that's probably going to be his last game for Chelsea. "He's been an incredible servant and I'm disappointed for him."

Arsenal claimed a record 14th FA Cup victory in a Aubameyang’s brace as the Gunners has won all three of their finals against Chelsea.
