Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has been identified by the Blaugrana boss, Quique Setien, as the ideal player he needs to shore up his team with.
The 23-year-old Nigeria international would replace Sergio Busquets (below) who would be 32 next season, and Seiten has made him his top priority for next summer.
This is according to Spanish Sports publication, Don Balon, who point out that the central midfield position has been a problem for Barcelona since the departure of Xavi Harnandez and Andres Iniesta.
The club has struggled to replace the fantastic duo but the manager is confident that the signing of Ndidi would be a perfect fit. Thee Nigerian midfield General is known for his tough but fair tackling as well as his ball-winning abilities and movement and positioning off the ball, which is all complemented by the impressive number of interceptions he makes per game.
The mercurial Super Eagles’ regular has scored two goals and recorded one assist in 29 games this season for the Foxes and at 23 has age on his side.
It remains to be seen if Leicester City will allow him to be pried away as they ave resisted all suitors so far. One thing is for sure he won't be cheap.
